Death has hit all of us in one way or another - either the death of a friend or family member. This poem was written soon after the poet's loss of a beloved parent.

This is a poem that I wrote after my first trip to the wall in July, 1992. ... Death means peace to those who are there. ... Although we were only able to get together a few times, I considered him a close friend.
